As I enter I am welcomed by, Kosta, our host who is not just polite, but friendly. We chat a bit and, upon knowing my hometown, he explains that one other of the visitors that night is a good friend of him who is also coming from my hometown I'm indicated where to sit and get a drink whilst the rest of my friends arrive. Food is served. For those who hadn't ordered a first dish, we are offered a -on the house- dish of ravioli. The pasta is fresh and cooked on point: It's a genuine Italian restaurant, where you get something other than overcooked pasta and pizza. If that's what you envision as Italian food you've got two choices: come here and learn what Italian food is about, or go somewhere else. Afterwards, I get a deliciously dish of lamb with vegetables. The lamb was juicy and just magnificent. Can't add much more. Again, don't come here expecting your average lasagna and pasta bolognesa or, God forbids, pasta carbonara with cream. Whilst we are enjoying our meal in a -forgot to mention- very nice location in the restaurant with cozy yet stylish furniture, Kosta approaches us -by our names, and we were about 15 people- asking whether everything is OK. I've never been asked about my origin or name at any other restaurant in the Netherlands... Finally: dessert. Homemade tiramisu and limoncello. We leave upon their closing time with a very warm farewell, a satisfied mouth and a full stomach. So please, do come here if you can appreciate good food. Kosta and team, congratulazioni!!
