'Petje af' (as we say in Dutch) for this place!! A big thanks to [531860771:Nasra Khan] for taking me to Kaafi today for lunch. A hidden gem in de Prinsestraat Den Haag for sure! I was pleasantly surprised by the decor when I first walked in. Really cosy and laid back with the right type of music in the background. Food was a sight for the eyes and the tastebuds had no complaints either. I have no words to describe the Pistache Cardamom Cheesecake. I'm not a big cheesecake fan but this is something else altogether. And then the coffee. All I can say is the owner has perfected it to an art!! Will definitely be coming back to try the Weekend Brunch menu
Kaafi is a place for everyone. You can step in to grab your to-go cup or you can bring your family for lunch... followed by coffee of course. It offers the best of Den Haag. A cozy setting amidst the hustle bustle of the city. And if you are lucky enough to meet Zeeshan Malik, you'll know exactly how much passion and heart goes into each cup of coffee. That is Kaafi in a nutshell.
It is quite difficult to find the right words to praise this place fully: excellent service, very friendly owner, amazing tea options (and great recommendations), and the work space is just what one needs (different set ups to accommodate all). I am looking forward to going back soon (and actually trying the coffee) and also to more brunch/lunch/food options. Definitely a must stop by place in The Hague!
Where to start?!
Malik maked me a Super Flavorsome P Colombia filtercoffee roasted by Cabra and his Dad an Awesome open faced Falafel sandwich with smokey Baba ganoush and some Homemade Jersey Milk Cottagecheese on the side.
Sitting here in the back of the shop, on the Laptop balcony, overseeing the Masters at work and the good vibes bring me JOY!
Kaafi serves the best coffee I've had in the Netherlands, but that's not the only reason why my visit there was special. Kaafi is a masterpiece of a coffee shop. Everything has been meticulously planned and perfectly executed, right down to the tiny details - the tasteful, cozy decor, the presentation of the coffee equipment, and even the cheerful character of the chalk display inviting you inside speak to the pride that the owner takes in his establishment.
As a location to study, relax, or just make idle chit-chat about the world of artisan coffee, Kaafi is already one of my favourites. Can't wait to go back next time I'm in Den Haag as I hear they're doing breakfast now!
