The one really good cup of coffee we had in Amsterdam. Tiny place, apparently run by a mad coffee shaman, who chatted to us for a minute then brought my wife a huge cup (big tick!) of rich cappuccino with an extra shot. She said it was delicious, but she also made the noises that meant it was actually good, not just polite good. Then he brought me this odd combination and explained how to drink it - a sip of the tiny espresso, followed by some of the weaker coffee, almost as a mouthwash between sips of the liquid tar. I've never had anything like it in my life. Flavours huge and intense, perfect drinking temperature, utterly delicious. The next time we're in Amsterdam, we're staying at the same hotel, purely so this place is just round the corner.

I really love this place. Would love to come here more often. Good coffee, laidback atmosphere, relaxed crowd.
