Happened across Instock on our first night in Amsterdam, and what a surprise! Ordered dinner from the small bite menu, and each item was delicious and unique (in my experience, anyway) in its own way. Gazpacho, the spread on toast points, steamed carrot and sweet potato with onion, reconstituted dried tomatoes, fries, the smoked puréed cauliflower, the polenta, and finally the mixed grill; each accompanied by incredible sauces and more. They even make their own beer! While everything was incredible, the cauliflower and polenta are standouts, with the potato beer slightly edging out the bread beer. Be forewarned: this is definitely not the place to stop in for a quick meal. But it is the place to enjoy each savory bite with good friends or family.

We loved the concept of saving food. The menu was great. Each dish had some twist to it one would not expect. The staff was friendly. The restaurant was clean and so was the semi-open kitchen. My compliments to the chef for taking up the challenge and delivering a great meal. I recommend this to friends. Also diet adjustments can be requested. Thank you.
