Apparently this place is booked as far as a month out, but we walked in and they were able to seat us. We were not dressed nearly as well as the rest of their clientele, but they were extremely pleasant, explaining the entire Dutch menu to us in English. Definitely a top 10 meal of my life for both the food and the experience.
The open kitchen setting is really nice as people feel like having personal chefs at home and the staff are super friendly and professional In terms of taking orders and serving. The most important part is the food you are offered is beyond your expectations since you felt being pampered with every dish and all the way to the desserts! Do I want to come back? The answer is positive!

Het eten in Rijsel is perfect uitgevoerde Franse keuken, met veel klassieke (streek) gerechten. De bediening attent, vriendelijk en ook nog heel professioneel. Helemaal top is de wijnkaart: alleen maar voltreffers, brede selectie Franse wijnen, super geprijsd (20 eu vaste opslag).
I had heard a lot of good comments about Rijsel so it was about time i gave it a try. I am quite spoilt when it comes to food so find it hard to find good restaurants. Well i was taken by surprise. The comments I heard did Rijsel injustice. I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends. From entering till coffee it was a wow. Friendly staff, well prepared dishes and excellent advice on wines. Thanks for making my night so memorable. Keep up the good work.
